Plasterer

It is important to first remove mold from ceilings before trying to repair them. Shellac or stain blocking primer can be used. After you have finished patching the area, you can then paint it over. You might find it difficult to visualize, but ceiling textures come in many different styles.

If you are interested in working with your hands and enjoy working with your creative skills, you may be interested in becoming a plasterer. It takes about three years to earn a diploma from high school and an apprenticeship. An apprenticeship will allow you to learn about plastering basics, such as how to read and calculate prices. A plasterer also needs to be physically fit and able to work well with others.
